What Are Vacuum Excavations?

A vacuum hose is used to remove excess water and soil from the site to ensure that underground assets are clearly exposed and that there is no cross-contamination of material. The excavated material is stored in the holding tank of our vacuum truck. Once the excavation is made, operations are carried out above ground with a variety of special tools. The excavated material in the holding tank is either hauled away or used to fill the hole again. Once the hole is filled, the surface is repaired.
Vacuum excavations are primarily used for potholing, exploratory digging, and other types of ground penetrating work.
